American University fell short in the playoffs last year losing to eventual winner Boston University by one goal. In addition, The Leopards beat the Eagles 3-1 during the regular season, giving up the goal with no seconds left on a penalty stroke. American loses 6 seniors to graduation and so far American’s coach Steve Jennings has replaced them with 3 mid/forwards. Not only has he to replace 6 roster spots but. he is losing all league and region players in Rubas and Goal Keeper Jacobs. In alphabetical order…..
Haile Arrington:
Haile has had a stellar career with Worcester Prep in the Delmarva area. She hails from Salisbury Md. and was the ESIAC player of the year. This past season she score 18 goals and 10 assists. She was has received multiple all league and all region honors and was. on the Max Sports players to watch. She is also a National Honor Society member and a member of the National Art Honor Society. She is planning to major in English/ Art at American.
Her press accolades are numerous and her high school coaches have high praise for this future attacker for the Eagles
Isabella Hite:
Another m/f Isabella played at Woodson HS and for Rampage Hockey Club. Originally, a soccer player she fell in love with hockey in high school. I am sure Jennings was impressed with her versatility as a three sport athlete, also playing soccer and track. Jennings though had to be focusing on her all region and state accolades. She sports a 4.03 GPA and has an interest in the stem fields and computer science.
Abigail Krieder:
This New Jersey native made her mark at Blair Academy. This all state player scored 21 goals and 19 assists and also played the New Jersey Stars. She also found her home at the midfield/forward position . She credits her mom for being her coach from 2nd to 8th grade.
All. three should fit in well to a Jennings attacking style of play.
