At the conclusion of the Young Women’s National Championships this week, selectors met to circle those who would be asked to return on June 17 for the US under 21 camp. Four hours after the conclusion of the last game of a five day grueling test which included 130 of the best players in the country, the list was cut to the “Under 21 Camp,” and a development squad. Delahanty’s name appeared on the under 21 list. This is part of the Olympic selection process and could be first step in the selection for the United States under 21 team.

Amanda Magadan who graduated from Lafayette this June was on the under 21 squad and was elevated to the traveling US Squad, is preparing for a series of games in South Africa this summer.
Cody Hunsicker returning co-captain for Lafayette also played well during the week, starting every game and involved in key plays. No doubt she will be bringing back new skills to be applied in the Leopards fall season.

Meanwhile selectees have until midnight tonight to accept their nomination to this elite under 21 camp. I was unable to contact Theresa this afternoon. In my short conversation with her yesterday she was excited to return this fall and apply her new skills for the fall season.
Taylor Blood, recent Boston University grad and rising Junior Ally Hammel of Boston made the developmental squad.
